Luckily for the deviants of the world, art thrives in changing times. From a pre-9/11 wild-west era to the counter-counter-culture that we have now. The social and political landscape also saw rapid changes. Not only did they survive the dotcom bubble, the advent of the smartphone (think of the different platforms), but also the start of social media up into peak competition. And in my opinion, any company that was around in 2000 and has survived long enough to be recently sold (2014 to wix.com) gets a firm handshake and a single patriotic tear from me. However, after reading their Wikipedia article, I gained a lot of respect for their role and contribution to the early days of the internet and the art community as a whole. I was going to sit here and trash their website with some clever quips. I also got a virus a few years ago from a deprecated foobar skin.
